It’s really a unique way to interact with technology.
Local SEO is a process of improving the way you appear on Google Maps and other local search engines. The main goal of this process is to increase traffic to your business location, which means that people will be able to find you much easier than before. It has many features that can help you get more traffic and increase your rankings on Google.

I gave ChatGPT instructions to include specific types of information in my description. First, I fed the AI with some background info about the business—just replace placeholders so you can try this example yourself!
Here is the command:
My business name is [name placeholder]. The business is located in [town + state]. It’s [number of years in business] years old. The industry is [industry]. The main service is [main service/s]. Our vision is to [insert vision – max 1 sentence]. Our unique selling proposition is [insert unique selling proposition].
If you want to create a location page and you need local landmarks or general local references to keep it relevant to the local area, this example is very helpful. I went to Wikipedia and searched for a specific town, then copied the entire first paragraph and pasted it into ChatGPT. I used the command: “Filter out all geographical words from this text”. I was very pleased with the results. 🙂
I just told the AI to return schema for a business and use placeholders as values. It even gave me further guidance on how to use this code. Brilliant!
You can collect the information you need for location pages about nearby towns and areas with this tool. I was actually certain that it wouldn’t. But see for yourself, I used “please” – hopefully it pays me back at some point or maybe that’s the only reason it gave me an appropriate answer in the first place. 😉
You can do this for a whole blog article if your briefing is more detailed. However, it is not advisable to rely solely on AI for content creation. The text has some human touch, but it reads differently when a person writes it. Not sure how Google will treat such content. While they claim it’s not in their best interest, we never know.
Obviously, it can spit out some ideas to warm up your brain a bit However, I found that most of the ideas are very generic and you can find them anywhere online already. If you want to create unique stuff that excites your readers, you may just see this as a brainstorming session with your best friend, a machine. (After all, SEO’s best friend is a machine anyway, right?)
Similarly, ChatGPT can help you find local keywords if you have no idea what they are.
I tried including “near me” in my search, but it didn’t really give me the list I was looking for. Only “near” did. See for yourself.
Give instructions on how to answer the review first, then feed it to the machine. This should be a game changer for many people who don’t want to take the time to respond or simply aren’t sure how to do it. You must obviously review and edit the texts – it’s not always a perfect response.
