SEO definition

What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

The process of improving a website’s visibility in search results, to increase the chances of being found by potential customers is called SEO. SEO stands for search engine optimization and it is the process of getting your website to rank high in search engines like Google, Yahoo or Bing. This is done by making sure that you have all the right keywords used in your website title, meta description and main body copy.

It also involves on-page SEO tactics like optimizing your website’s content structure with meta tags and other technical elements like H1, H2 and H3 headings.

The goal of SEO is to make sure that your website’s content is easily accessible to search engine crawlers so that they can find it when users type in a keyword or phrase into a search bar on the internet browser. That way, when someone types in “best WordPress themes for beginners” for example, you want them to end up at your website with results from Google!

Why do you need SEO?

Search engines like Google and Bing use algorithms to determine which websites are listed on their search pages. In order to be ranked highly in these results, it’s essential that your site is optimized for specific keywords or phrases.
